I. Selection of Radar Level Meters
Various types of level meters have their own characteristics and advantages. When choosing an instrument for measuring the medium, various factors should be considered, including the properties of the measured medium, the purpose of measurement, environmental conditions, and economic conditions, etc. Try to leverage the strengths and avoid weaknesses among the numerous instruments to select an instrument suitable for the measured medium and purpose.
II. Consider the Characteristics of the Measured Medium
Due to the wide variety of radar level meters, before measurement, the pressure, temperature, density and other characteristics of the measured medium should be considered. Select an appropriate antenna and head based on targeted factors. For high-temperature or highly corrosive media, non-contact antenna radar level meters should be used to prevent direct contact between the level meter and the liquid, which can ensure the accuracy of the measurement data and protect the level meter from damage.
III. Consider the Purpose of Measuring the Medium
When selecting radar level meters, the purpose of measuring the medium should also be considered, so as to choose a level meter with different measurement accuracies. To save investment as much as possible while meeting the measurement accuracy requirements, choose a level meter with better cost performance. If the purpose of measuring the medium is for internal accounting, the requirement for accuracy does not need to be too high. If the purpose is for external transactions, a high-precision level meter should be selected.

V. Installation of Radar Level Meters
The installation of radar level meters is also a very important step in liquid level measurement. To ensure the normal and stable operation of the radar level meter, a scientific and reasonable installation method should be used to reduce the occurrence of various faults. During installation, the antenna should be kept balanced with the measurement tank wall, and the installation position should be greater than 300mm away from the tank wall to maintain sufficient distance. Otherwise, abnormal echo signals may occur, resulting in false echo signals.
When measuring objects with corrosiveness or crystallization properties, to avoid the influence of various factors on the antenna and prevent the crystallization on the antenna from affecting normal operation, a specific instrument should be selected to reduce the occurrence of various faults and prevent the data from being deviated.
