With the development of the new energy industry, there are an increasing number of customized cases that require extremely high corrosion resistance. 


Customer background: The electrolyte preparation workshop of a lithium battery material production enterprise. 


Operating condition pain points: 


High corrosiveness: The electrolyte composition is complex, containing strong acids, strong bases and organic solvents, which have extremely strong corrosive properties towards standard stainless steel materials.


Purity requirements: The production process requires extremely high cleanliness, and any metal ion precipitation due to corrosion may contaminate the product.


Explosion-proof requirements: Organic solvents volatilize, and the workshop is an explosion-proof area.


Customized solutions: 


All-plastic or anti-corrosion coating structure: The submersible liquid level transmitter customized for this customer (refer to the MPM426WPC chemical-specific series), the parts in contact with the medium are all made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) materials. The sensor diaphragm also adopts specially anti-corrosion coated gold or ceramic materials. 


Structural design: Utilizing a fully welded process, any potential leakage points are eliminated, ensuring that highly corrosive media will not seep into the instrument and damage the electronic components. 


Explosion-proof certification: The entire product complies with the explosion-proof standard of Exd II CT6, ensuring safety when used in hazardous areas. 


Application effect: Completely resisted the long-term chemical corrosion of the electrolyte, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the measurement system and maintaining the purity of the medium. It provided precise and reliable liquid level data for the subsequent automated batching of the DCS system.
